1. OUR MISSION
GabaBrain is an educational platform designed to help students learn,
study, and succeed. Our community is built on the principles of
collaboration, respect, and academic integrity. These Community
Guidelines explain what is and isn't allowed on GabaBrain to ensure a
safe, positive, and productive learning environment for all users.
By using GabaBrain, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may
result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.
2. CONTENT YOU CAN CREATE
We encourage users to create and share educational content, including:
- Original flashcards based on your class notes and studies
- Study questions and quizzes you create yourself
- Summaries and explanations in your own words
- Vocabulary lists and definitions
- Practice problems and worked examples you create
- Study guides and review materials you write
- Memory aids and mnemonics
The best study materials are those you create yourself --- the act of
creating them is part of the learning process!
3. CONTENT YOU CANNOT UPLOAD
The following types of content are prohibited on GabaBrain:
3.1 Copyrighted Material
- Textbook chapters, passages, or excerpts (verbatim or near-verbatim)
- Instructor-created slides, handouts, or presentations
- Test banks or publisher materials
- Copyrighted images, diagrams, or figures without permission
- Any content you did not create or do not have rights to share
3.2 Exam Content
- Actual exam questions from your classes
- Final exams, midterms, or quiz questions
- Answer keys or solutions to exams
- Live exam questions during an active testing period
- Questions from standardized tests (NCLEX, USMLE, BAR, MCAT, SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT, etc.)
3.3 Harmful Content
- Content that promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activities
- Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
- Sexually explicit or pornographic material
- Content targeting or exploiting minors
- Misinformation that could cause harm
- Personal or confidential information of others
3.4 Spam and Deceptive Content
- Advertisements or promotional content
- Spam, phishing, or scam content
- Misleading or deceptive material
- Content designed to game ratings or recommendations
4. BEHAVIOR STANDARDS
We expect all users to treat each other with respect. The following
behaviors are prohibited:
- Harassing, bullying, or intimidating other users
- Posting threatening or violent messages
- Impersonating other users, instructors, or institutions
- Sending unwanted or inappropriate messages
- Discriminating against others based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Doxxing or sharing others' personal information
- Creating fake accounts or using multiple accounts to evade bans
5. ACADEMIC INTEGRITY
GabaBrain is designed to help you LEARN, not to help you cheat. Academic
integrity is fundamental to our mission.
5.1 Encouraged Uses
- Studying for exams using self-created materials
- Reviewing concepts after class
- Testing your knowledge with practice quizzes
- Collaborating with classmates on study materials
- Learning from community-created content
5.2 Prohibited Uses
- Using GabaBrain during exams or tests (unless explicitly permitted by your instructor)
- Copying answers directly into assignments
- Sharing exam content during active testing periods
- Using materials in ways that violate your school's academic integrity policy
- Any form of cheating or academic dishonesty
You are responsible for understanding and following your school's
academic integrity policies. GabaBrain is a study tool, not a
shortcut.
6. ACCURACY AND QUALITY
We encourage users to create accurate, high-quality study materials.
While we do not verify the accuracy of User Content:
- Strive to create accurate and helpful content
- Cite sources when appropriate
- Correct errors when you discover them
- Use the rating system to highlight quality content
- Report content that is inaccurate or misleading
Remember: inaccurate study materials can hurt your learning. Quality
matters!
7. REPORTING VIOLATIONS
If you see content that violates these guidelines, please report it
using the "Report" button available on all content. You can also email
us at pixterlearning@gmail.com.
When reporting, please include:
- A link or description of the content
- The reason you believe it violates our guidelines
- Any additional context that may be helpful
We review all reports and take appropriate action. Thank you for helping
keep GabaBrain safe and positive.
8. CONSEQUENCES OF VIOLATIONS
Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, we may take any
of the following actions:
- Warning: A notice that your content or behavior violates our guidelines.
- Content Removal: Removal of content that violates our guidelines.
- Feature Restriction: Temporary limitation of certain features (posting, messaging, multiplayer, etc.).
- Account Suspension: Temporary suspension of your account.
- Account Termination: Permanent ban from GabaBrain.
Serious violations (such as posting exam content, harassment, or illegal
activity) may result in immediate termination without warning.
If your account is terminated, you forfeit all points, virtual items,
and subscription benefits without refund.
9. APPEALS
If you believe your content was removed or your account was actioned in
error, you may appeal by emailing pixterlearning@gmail.com with:
- A description of the action taken
- Your explanation of why you believe the action was in error
We will review appeals and respond within a reasonable time. Our
decision on appeals is final.
10. CHANGES TO THESE GUIDELINES
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. Continued
use of GabaBrain after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of
the updated guidelines.

GabaBrain is committed to supporting legitimate learning and academic
integrity. We believe that:
- True learning comes from engaging with material, not from shortcuts.
- The skills you develop through studying are as valuable as the grades you earn.
- Creating your own study materials is one of the most effective ways to learn.
- Collaboration and sharing knowledge makes everyone smarter.
- Academic honesty is the foundation of meaningful education.
2. WHAT WE STAND FOR
GabaBrain is a STUDY TOOL --- a place to:
- Review and reinforce what you've learned in class
- Test your knowledge before exams
- Create flashcards and quizzes that help you remember
- Challenge friends to make studying more engaging
- Build a habit of regular, effective studying
GabaBrain is NOT a place to:
- Find answers to copy into assignments
- Access exam questions during a test
- Bypass the learning process
- Engage in any form of academic dishonesty
3. THE GABABRAIN USER PLEDGE
By using GabaBrain, you commit to the following:

*I will not upload actual exams, test banks, or copyrighted
materials.*
*I will not use GabaBrain to cheat or violate my school's academic
integrity policies.*
*I will treat other users with respect and contribute positively to
the community.*
*I understand that my academic success depends on my own honest
effort."*
4. WHAT CONSTITUTES MISUSE
The following are examples of Honor Code violations:
- Using GabaBrain during an exam or test without instructor permission
- Copying answers from GabaBrain directly into graded assignments
- Uploading your professor's exam questions for others to access
- Sharing answers during a live testing period
- Using GabaBrain in any way that violates your school's academic integrity policy
- Creating content designed to help others cheat
If you're unsure whether something is allowed, ask yourself: "Would my
professor approve of this use?" When in doubt, don't.
5. EDUCATOR AND INSTITUTION SUPPORT
We work collaboratively with educators and institutions to support
academic integrity:
- We respond promptly to takedown requests from copyright owners and institutions.
- We offer free educator accounts to help faculty monitor and manage content related to their courses.
- We terminate accounts of users who repeatedly violate our policies.
- We are happy to work with schools to address specific concerns.

6. A MESSAGE TO STUDENTS
We get it --- school is hard, and there's pressure to get good grades.
But taking shortcuts doesn't just risk academic consequences; it cheats
you out of actually learning.
GabaBrain exists because we believe studying can be better --- more
effective, more engaging, even more fun. We built features like
multiplayer challenges and daily rewards to make studying something you
actually want to do.
Use GabaBrain to LEARN. Create your own flashcards. Challenge your
friends. Build study habits that will serve you long after graduation.
