Built by a Student, for All Students

GabaBrain started as a nursing student's frustration with existing study tools. Now it's the app we wish we had.

The Problem We Saw

Back in 2023, while grinding through nursing school, something became painfully clear: studying sucked. Not because the material was hard (it was), but because the tools we had were designed for a different era.

Flashcard apps were boring. There was no good way to find materials from your specific instructor or course. Studying felt like a chore you did alone in your room, hoping you'd retain enough to pass the next exam.

And the biggest miss? There was no way to connect with other students who were going through the same material. No competition. No collaboration. Just you and a stack of digital cards.

What We Built

GabaBrain is what happens when you ask: "What if studying was actually fun?"

We built six different ways to study the same material, because every brain works differently. We added multiplayer so you could challenge your classmates instead of just texting them to complain about the test. We created daily challenges with real rewards to give you a reason to open the app every day.

And we made it possible to find study materials from your exact school, instructor, and course. Because generic flashcards don't cut it when you need to know exactly what Dr. Johnson covers on her Pharmacology midterm.

Study Better, for All

GabaBrain launched in February 2025, but the idea has been brewing since those late nights in nursing school. While we started with healthcare students in mind, we quickly realized the same problems exist everywhere: law students, engineering majors, high schoolers cramming for the SAT.

If you've ever felt like studying was a necessary evil, we built this for you. It's time to turn studying into something you actually want to do.
